ZnS is widely used in laboratory instrumentation, sensing systems, and multispectral optical platforms where performance across multiple wavelength ranges is critical.

Infrared Windows for LWIR Applications


QIR Optics supplies precision Germanium (Ge) windows optimized for long-wave infrared (LWIR) transmission in the 8–14 µm range.


Germanium is a preferred material for thermal imaging, sensing, and spectroscopy due to its high refractive index and excellent infrared transmission.

CO₂ Laser and Infrared Optical Windows


QIR Optics provides Zinc Selenide (ZnSe) windows engineered for 10.6 µm CO₂ laser applications as well as broadband infrared transmission.

ZnSe is widely used for its low absorption at CO₂ laser wavelengths and strong transmission across a broad infrared spectrum.

  • Surface Quality: 60-40 standard / 40-20 optional 
  • Edge: Beveling and chamfering available 


Optical Properties

  • Transmission range: ~0.6 µm to 16 µm
